Call to Order (Kristin) at 6:38 p.m.
Approval of November Minutes - Linda moved, Kathy seconded, unanimous approval
Meeting Schedule:
Meetings are moving to Wednesdays. Would be great for next president to make Google meeting events for next year.
Elections:
President: Arianna Morris (Kristin cannot serve as an officer next year, but will continue being a member.)
Kristin will continue storing stuff in basement until people are willing to take it over.
Vice President: David interested
Secretary: Sophie interested in helping with digital stuff (newsletters and socials), James interested in helping with minutes/flyers
Treasurer: Linda Dailey
Other community members to keep on the meeting invite: Steven, Robert, William, Emily, Susan
Excerpt from Bylaws:
Section 3 – Officers and Duties:
There shall be a minimum of four (4) Officers including president, vice president, secretary, and
Treasurer.
The President shall preside at all meetings of the Association, and in his/her absence or inability to act, or at his/her request, the Vice President shall preside. The President/Vice President/Co-President shall complete the annual registration process with both the City and County of Denver and the Colorado Secretary of State.
The Secretary shall perform the duties usually belonging to the office and shall record the minutes of all meetings and conduct correspondence as directed. In his/her absence, the secretary will assign minute recording responsibilities to another Board of Directors member.
Note: The secretary position has induced posting events on the UHNA social media, sending the monthly newsletter, updating the website, and flyer creation.
The Treasurer shall maintain financial records of the Association; draw checks and co-sign them, as directed by the President; present reports at the Annual Community Meeting and as necessary throughout the year; and file taxes for the Association on an annual basis. Check signing authority will be a shared responsibility between the President, Vice/Co-President, and Treasurer. Check signing authority may be granted to an individual other than the above stated individuals upon authorization by majority vote at the Annual Community Meeting.
Note: Would someone be interested in taking the lead here on fundraising for movie night and locating new sponsors?
Total budget (without Movie Night): $2,893
Total budget (with Movie Night $2,000 to $3,500): $4,893 to $6,393
We would need to start planning a quarter ahead of time
Need to have fundraising fully separate
We are asking the PTO to take the lead; haven’t heard how the meeting went
Sponsorship levels:
150 for event sponsor (logo on flyer and newsletters)
250 table
500 annual (can table at every event, logo on website, event flyers, newsletters)
2026 Events:

Library Resources With Susan Bolen:
Library will be closed for two years
More than heating and cooling (last renovation in the 90s)
Close a week from saturday (on the 20th); they will be fencing off the whole property
Elections is loaning their surveillance cameras to go in the parking lot for security
Going to be a great children’s area
Bigger family restroom
Where you return your books will be the entrance
New elevator
Lot of HVAC
More community spaces/reservable rooms/study rooms/conference areas
Water bottle filler
ADA improvements
Parking lot improvements
Landscape already done two years ago – bond written longer ago than that so the money will be going into other improvements
Footprint and outside staying the same
Is there someone we can email about any project issues? Susan or her – they will get it to their facilities who can get it to DOTI. Facility folks

Book Mobile services will be expanding – recently bought two more
Cherry Creek expanding hours; open on Sundays
Some libraries are closing early for renovation to fill other vacancies; avoiding layoffs
