David + Linda will be coming back
Mark’s hanging out – will think about taking on an officer position
Emily will be around, but doesn’t anticipate being able to take on a role
Arianna is sticking around and feels comfortable organizing things
Molly is unclear but willing to help
We could look into Wix and potentially move our email list over there
Movie Night Planning
Is the movie night a must-have? – Yes, it is part of our brand and always what we’ve done
Being at Bradley, it gets families there and feeling like part of the community. It facilitates neighborhood spirit, and it makes people want to enroll their children in schools here.
Gets people to know parents, teachers, kids, etc
Could we try to partner with Bradley?
Hundreds of people typically attend: 400-500
New date -
Permits open for the fall on Aug. 4 – $25 for form
Do we need to have a janitor on staff?
Emily will ask what day the pres/vp would be willing to do it
School starts Aug 19
We could try for Aug 22
Budget
It will cost between $3500 and $4000
Shining Lotus donating – $250
Fundraising
Can we ask the PTO about donating? – Emily checking
New principal won’t respond until she’s back on July 24 – Emily will reach out to PTO first, then talk to principal/VP
PTO won’t have another meeting until school starts, but they can hold a vote before then
If PTO says no/we don’t have money, then we won’t apply
We need more competitive options for the movie screen – they can be super expensive
Kathy has a big pull-down screen
Mark is asking a friend to donate a screen for a night – he could potentially write it off as a business expense, not a tax-deductible donation
Need a high-quality projector, sound, screen, and someone to monitor the screen

Council Updates
Hampden Multimodal Improvements
Project Will Affect Motorists June-August
The Hampden Multimodal Improvement Project is helping implement a vision for Hampden Avenue developed with residents and businesses to improve safety and provide more comfortable and convenient crossings. The project will take place on Hampden Ave from I-25 to E. Girard Ave.
Some impacts to motorists will occur throughout the project with the majority happening during the construction of the raised median. When work begins mid-June, motorists can expect westbound lane closures on Hampden Avenue between Girard Avenue and Florence Street.
Working hours will be from 7am to 5pm weekdays. Some night work may occur.
Beginning in July, barriers will be placed on Hampden Avenue closing down a lane in each direction through August. Motorists should allow for extra time in their schedules for possible delays.
