At a number of our University Hills Community Meetings in 2019, we learned about a water quality improvement project coming to our U-Hills section of the High Line Canal.
Now, we've received notification from Denver's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) that the plan is moving forward into construction this spring/summer.
The original plans included natural green infrastructure, including a rain garden. The new plans are different and look more industrial. (See image gallery below.)
DOTI has also communicated that there will be High Line Canal Trail closures this spring and summer. The project is estimated to be complete in fall 2021. Learn More: Water Quality Project Information Sheet.
